December is one of the busiest months for seniors and disability beneficiaries and knowing your Social Security payment dates can help you budget for holiday expenses, end-of-year bills, and rising living costs.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has already confirmed the official December 2025 payment calendar, and here’s the simple breakdown.

 

SSI Payment: December 1, 2025

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will be deposited on: Monday, December 1, 2025

This payment follows the standard schedule: SSI always pays on the 1st unless it falls on a weekend or holiday.

Social Security Payments: Based on Your Birthday

If you receive retirement, survivors, or SSDI benefits, your December 2025 Social Security payment date depends on your birth date (except for one special group).
 

Early Month Beneficiaries (Filed Before May 1997)

If you receive both Social Security and SSI, or your Social Security benefits started before May 1997, your payment follows the early schedule:

Payment Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2025

  • Birthdays 1st–10thWednesday, December 10, 2025

  • Birthdays 11th–20thWednesday, December 17, 2025

  • Birthdays 21st–31stWednesday, December 24, 2025

All deposits should arrive by direct deposit or on your Direct Express card on your scheduled Wednesday.

SSA recommends waiting 3 business days before contacting them.
